Drag to travel. Pinch, wheel, double-tap, or use +/− to zoom. Scripture is printed directly into the map and resolves naturally as you move closer. Controls fade while reading. Story mode guides you through biblical eras and numbered events. Use My Study for notes, colored highlights, bookmarks, tags, and reading history. Traditional mode can speak a selected verse or an entire chapter with adjustable voice and speed. The Layers panel still controls landmarks, routes, relief, atmosphere, and saved marks.

Map Layers
Landmarks and terrain are placed within BibleMap’s symbolic Scripture atlas rather than a modern GIS projection. Relief and lighting are precomputed so their color remains stable during touch and movement. v8.5 adds personal notes, colored highlights, tags, searchable study history, and a symbol legend while preserving Story Atlas and atmosphere.

Atmosphere
Lighting is drawn through the same fixed render path during rest, touch, pan, and zoom.
Journey routes
Routes are illustrated Scripture guides rather than surveyed modern tracks. Numbered stops, direction arrows, and named waypoints now explain each path.
Story Atlas
Choose an era, then follow its numbered events across BibleMap. Story events can now be spoken aloud with the device voice. Locations are interpretive story anchors within the symbolic Scripture atlas, not modern surveyed coordinates.
